Light in some places in europe it is illegal to run fog lights unless their is actually fog. Which require DLR, and I'm not sure what Canada's laws are for fog lights. ![]() Though I don't know if this would be possible because of Canada's laws. Xenons for the High Beams and Low Beams, and Silverlights for the fog lights. If I had to choose my personal set up, I would use projector headlights. So I leave my fog lights on to help fix this issue. The only problem I have is that I can't see road signs because the light is projected down at the ground and not up at the road signs. I have projectors in my car, but they have SilverLight Halogens behind them. Normally the high beams are still halogen. The only difference is the light that is projected is much brighter. Xenons may be brighter then Halogens, but because of the projectors, they don't shoot any farther because the light is projected on the ground. Running lights should be under-volted high beams. As far as which one is M-tech, I can't really say, I don't believe either one is officially the M-tech headlight, because the M5 had both styles of headlights. The 96-00 style headlight came in both reflector and projector forms. Which style head light are you talking about? Their were two styles that were used in the BMWs. Which ones would be the closest colour matched to the Xenons? Thus looking at replacing them with one of the set from DDM: Up here in Canada we have the DRL (Daytime Running Lights) law and currently even though the car has Xenon lights in its projector the DRL's seem to be standard Halogen lights with a Yellow tint colour from the looks (not french yellow bulbs). Projectors one has the option of running HID's (which may not be suggestible), whereas reflectors one hears the glass seems to break constantly.Īlso been looking at upgrading my driving lights to new bulbs. Looking through the forum, I have been hearing good and bad from both sides. Should i go with Reflectors or Projectors. ![]() I was looking at upgrading my non M bumper to a M one. ![]() As my Touring will be going into hibernation mode soon and during this time will be cocooning to hopefully something better looking (aka hitting the shop), i am looking at taking advantage of the DDM sale on bumpers.
